Internships
Are you interested in becoming an Outward Bound Instructor? Are you an alumnus of one of our Mid-Atlantic programs looking for a way to support the school? Does your school, college or university have a community service or internship requirement?

Internship Opportunities

Attendance is mandatory for all necessary training, certification programs and development workshops. Interns will also work in the field assisting our field staff. Interns who graduate the program will be qualified to apply as assistant instructors. Benefits include $1500 stipend, room and board (for those 21 years and older) and upon completion of trainings—a multitude of certifications.

INTERN QUALIFICATIONS: a sincere desire to work with urban youth in challenging environments; interest in teaching Outward Bound’s leadership curriculum; interest in learning all aspects of our Urban Centers; minimum age to live in staff house is 21.
